Our History

March 1st, 2019
March 1st, 2019 we started the conversation to create Coral Heads Holdings, Inc. At the time the Palm Beach Boat Show was a month out and the Island Lifestyle was calling. 20 years earlier we began brainstorming the concept, but the technology was not readily available and what was available was cost prohibitive for us to implement. Over those 20 years, we kept the initial concept simple. How could we create a company that was fun, creative, lucrative, and still capture the Island Lifestyle we loved?

2019
During the year 2019, we fleshed out several revisions of a business plan. Usually over the phone while we on breaks from our other income sources. We have used Mindmaps, Spreadsheets, Word Docs, Scrivnr, and LivePlan to counter some of our planning issues. Finally settling on LivePlan and Notion to bring things together. Yet, I think the notes pad on my phone was used more than any other tool we had at our disposal. It had an outline of the most complex business plan that I had ever written. And so as the year went, in our very limited free time, we wrote our plans.

2020
In the early part of 2020, we decided that the time had come to begin the development of CoralHeads.com and purchased the domain name. It took several months to get everything in order, plus secure all of the social profiles that went with the domain.

While the World seemed to be crashing around us. May was a great month for us to launch the website. Being unable to travel we had a captive audience to brainstorm ideas and designs for the Coral Heads theme. Plus with Mark Laymon tied down to his house with a quarantine. We took action!

2020
The community forum took a little more prodding from our peers. We decided to go with XenForo as the platform and UX.I Pro by ThemeHouse for the layout and design. More and more of our peers were forced into quarantine, this did slow everything down. But it did let us tweak our forum outline into what we have today.
