Spearfishing tips to get Snapper, Grouper and Lobster - Snorkeling coral reef mazes in the Caribbean

Do you know what my favorite type of spearfishing ground is? Broken coral bottom with ledges, caves, nooks and crannies. It is like hide and seek with a purpose....a purpose to shoot the best tasting fish around. Every corner is a possible ambush site so you have to be ready to aim on the fly. Almost always with snapper you only have one chance before they disappear into a cave or hole so you need to be ready always.

Do you get hungry on a dive? Why not shoot a squid and eat it raw. It is just like cooked except less chewy would you believe.

Spearfishing Nomad

I am travelling the world on a sailboat on a tight budget with very little food stored on board. Spearfishing is a necessary skill that I need to survive because if I don't catch I don't eat. Join me for a bit of adventure and fun exploring some exotic places and eating the very best fish that I can catch.
