Patrick Lahey of Triton Submarines talks about private submarines
Triton Submarines President, Patrick J. Lahey, talks to Exploration Institute. Triton Submarines develops yacht launched, privately owned and operated submersibles. In this interview Patrick talks about the details of their submarines which are capable of taking three passengers to routinely to over 3'000feet. All passengers are enclosed in an acrylic sphere which gives unsurpassed visibility for a very special interaction with the ocean. Later in the video Patrick talks about the technical design details of his submarines. This is a very interesting review of diving concepts. This is the submarine used by Sir David Attenborough for some of his dives and by many other documentary makers. This interview took place at the Underwater Intervention conference.
