Life Aboard an Alaskan Research Vessel
Every year, from April to to September, the R/V Tiglax travels the length of the Aleutian chain, dropping off and picking up scientists and researchers along the way. The vessel makes the trip from Homer to Attu multiple times in one sailing season, providing transportation for personnel and gear across the remote region. Captain Billy Pepper provides a tour while the ship is docked in Dutch Harbor for a brief resupply.
