How To Be The BEST Tech Diver | Surface Interval
Hi everybody, welcome to the surface interval, in association with MPORA, today we’re talking about tech diving, and how to be a better technical diver. Tech diver and technical diving are rather vague terms that can describe a range of things. The first thing being a scuba diver that dives to depths deeper than 40m, the recreational diving limit. As soon as you go beyond 40m, and actually before you even get there in some cases, things get complicated. But tech diving can also describe, longer dives, diving longer than the capacity of a single 12L tank, or diving in overhead environments.
All of these things give you a ceiling, either a physical ceiling, in a cave or a shipwreck, or a theoretical ceiling that you can't ascend above straight away. For most recreational divers, as long you don't bolt up to the surface, you can always swim up to the surface. But on a technical dive, you have to wait, you can't just swim up to the surface. That doesn't mean that technical divers are necessarily better divers though. So, what does makes a tech diver better? Obviously Recreational divers can do these things to make themselves better, But let's look at how to be the best tech diver...
