Avail Gear was established in 2019 by owners Clay & Stephanie Cowart. The Cowarts grew up in the the Florida Keys where fishing and boating was a way of life, however the sun's exposure quickly became problematic. Previously long sleeve cotton shirts got the job done, but cotton was heavy, hot and uncomfortable.
