Most of my spearing has been while diving off of Palm Beach and Boynton Beach. But I have always used a pole spear. I tend to like the simplicity of the pole spear over the added additions of using a spear gun. Thoughts?

Kite fishing is the rage for Sailfish, but I've done very well with a live ballyhoo on light line. Free lining the bait back in the chum slick works for me. Kites seem like a lot of work.

Nearly all the wahoo I have caught have been with down-rigger and at sunset. End of March and all of April have been good too.
