Great Guana Cay - Abaco- The Bahamas - Update July 2021 - The Tourists Are Back
This video shows how Guana Cay is coming back from Hurricane Dorian that happened in September 2019. Now, almost 2 years later, the island is on its way to recovery, although there is still a ways to go. Power is restored to the homes that are rebuilt after the hurricane, and that makes life easier on the cay. Even if the power company fails to deliver power consistently (at this time it is out 1 or 2 full days a week and a few hours here and there in addition) we have hope that this will change. The progress and the positive vibe the returning tourists are bringing with them after covid 19 restrictions are somewhat lifted, makes it easy to feel that there is hope after all and that the island will be back to its full potential one day in the future.
