Exploring Corals of the Deep - KQED QUEST
Up and down California coast, thousands of feet in the deep, blue ocean where the sun's rays don't reach, teems a diverse community of deep sea corals. Armed with sophisticated remotely operated vehicles which are equipped with robotic arms, sensors and HD cameras, scientists can now travel thousands of feet to survey this treasure trove of corals, some of which have never before been seen.
